On 20 May 2026, NiD4OCEAN will take part in Pint of Science Oslo, as part of the event “Blue Planet, Shared Responsibility” at Brygg Oslo.
Marta Moyano will represent NiD4OCEAN with a presentation on how offshore wind farms can be developed in ways that better respect marine life. The talk will introduce how the project is studying nature-inclusive designs across European seas, including the metrics, monitoring needs, and decision-support tools required to evaluate ecological effects.
As offshore renewable energy expands to support climate neutrality, projects like NiD4OCEAN are helping explore how this development can be aligned with biodiversity protection and responsible ocean use.
The event brings together different perspectives on sustainability, from offshore wind and marine ecosystems to resource recovery, pharmaceutical pollution, and societal responses to plastic pollution.
Pint of Science offers an opportunity to bring research closer to the public and create informal conversations around the science that is shaping a more sustainable future.
