The 8th Conference on Wind Energy and Wildlife Impacts (CWW 2025) took place in Montpellier, France, from 8 to 12 September, bringing together the international community to exchange knowledge and best practices on the interactions between wind energy and biodiversity. Among the participants were several partners from the NID4OCEAN consortium, who contributed through workshops and poster presentations.
Luca van Duren (Deltares) and Eline van Onselen (North Sea Foundation) took part in the workshop on Nature-Inclusive Design, sharing perspectives on restoration principles, future-proofing approaches and community building around NID in offshore wind farms. Other partners presented posters on related topics, highlighting their research activities. Their participation in CWW2025 provided a valuable opportunity to connect with peers, exchange insights and foster collaborations that support NID4OCEAN’s mission of developing nature-inclusive solutions for offshore wind.
